About the institution
Public Institution National Library "Branko Radičević" Derventa, whose roots go back to the first reading room founded in 1888, while the Library as an institution was founded in 1945. Today it is a modern cultural and information center that offers its users a rich book collection, professional library services and diverse cultural programs. Through book promotions, literary evenings, exhibitions, workshops and other content, the Library actively contributes to the development of culture, education and lifelong learning in the local community. Located in a historic building that is a cultural monument, the Library preserves cultural heritage and remains a meeting place for knowledge, creativity and community for all generations.

Current events
" Prkos Fest " is a traditional city festival that has been organized for many years by the Public Institution "Branko Radičević" National Library and the Public Institution Cultural Center of Derventa . The festival is held on Liberation Square , on the plateau between the Library and the Cultural Center, and for approximately a month, one festival evening every week is dedicated to a rich cultural program. Visitors can expect orchestra concerts, theater performances, literary evenings and numerous other cultural events.
